Tatiana Designs in Portugal, designed this pair of socks, with thin stripes to make them more fun. This project uses Woool’e, a yarn made entirely from recycled pre-consumer textile waste sourced from the Portuguese fashion industry, 60% recycled wool and 40% recycled cotton.

Socks are one of the best clothing accessories for those who like to keep their feet warm and cosy in the cooler days of winter. Although knitting socks might seem challenging, it’s easier than one might think. It is a small and very portable project, making it ideal for knitting on the go. It never gets boring because it uses a few special techniques to keep you “on your toes”.

It features alternate stripes, adding a fun touch to a stylish pair of socks. They are knit starting from the toe, with an increased heel, ending at the leg cuff. You can knit it in three sizes, small, medium or large according to your foot size. This pattern is knit in the round, so you can use 5 double-pointed needles or adjust it for the magic loop method.

This kit contains:

• Woool’e, 60% recycled wool and 40% recycled cotton, 50 g, 149 m, in Colours:
• Gardenia (1 Ball)
• Morning Glory (2 Balls)
• 3 mm / US 2/3 Double Pointed knitting needles
• Printed Patterns in English, Dutch, German, Spanish and French

You will also need:

• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle
• Measuring tape
• Scissors

Measurements:

Sizes S, M and L / 8, 10, 12 (US Sizes)

To fit a foot circumference of 21 (23; 24.5) cm / 8.25 (9, 9.65) in

Gauge:

Knit 27 stitches and 29 rows for a tension swatch of 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) using a 3 mm needle in Stockinette stitch.

If your swatch is smaller or bigger, we recommend using another size crochet hook to avoid deviations.
