Free crochet pattern: Spider
Few things are creepier than spiders! With this pattern, you can turn some Hoooked Eucalyps (or similar yarn, of course) into an eight-legged monster in no time.
What you need:
Yarn: any type. We used Eucalyps Neroni for the spider’s body and legs and Eucalyps Giada for the eyes.
6 mm crochet hook (US size J/10)
45mm pom pom maker
The spider’s body
Make a pom pom in Eucalyps Neroni with the 45mm pom pom maker.
The spider’s legs (make 6)
(Yes, six. We know spiders are supposed to have eight, but we thought the spider looked nicer with six. Feel free to make more!)
Take two strands of Eucalyps Neroni and chain 10. Crochet 9 dc, starting in the second chain from the needle. Fasten off, leaving a long tail to attach the leg to the pom pom.
The spider’s eyes (make 2)
Take four strands of Eucalyps Giada and tie a double knot in the middle. Attach the eyes to the pom pom.
Free crochet pattern: Spider's Web
Want to give your spider somewhere spooky to live? This free crochet spider web pattern works up nice and fast – a perfect project for while you’re watching a horror movie on Netflix!
What you need:
Yarn: any type. We used Eucalyps Grigio, but Bianco or Panna would also look great!
3 mm crochet hook (US size G/6)
R1: Chain 6. Use a slip stitch to join into a ring. In the ring: 3 ch (this is your first treble crochet), 2 ch, [1 tr, 2 ch] 7 times, crochet a last treble on the first 3 chains.
R2: [4 ch, 1 tr on the tr from the previous round] 9 times
R3: [6 ch, 1 tr on the tr from the previous round] 9 times
R4: [9 ch, 1 dtr on the tr from the previous round] 9 times
R5: [11 ch, 1 dtr on the dtr from the previous round] 9 times
R6: [13 ch, 1 extended dtr on the dtr from the previous round] 9 times
R7: [15 ch, 1 extended dtr on the extended dtr from the previous round] 9 times
Fasten off, and leave a long tail. You can use this to hang up your spider’s web!
And that’s it: your crochet spider and his yarny web are ready! If you use these free crochet patterns, we’d love to see them. If you share your creations on Instagram, make sure to use the hashtag #gethoooked, and tag @hoooked.zpagetti!
